Rione Colletto

Immediatamente confinante con la Trinità, si trova il Colletto, che costituisce la “porta settentrionale” della città, simmetricamente all’Orso nel settore sud.

Le case di questo Rione vennero costruite dopo la metà del XV secolo ma le loro fondazioni poggiano su quelle che furono costruite dai Benedettini nel VI secolo. La chiesa ora dedicata a San Benedetto venne costruita nel 1452 dalla Confraternita dei “Battuti” e poi ceduta al Comune in seguito al voto fatto, nel 1626.
